Sometimes it's not the emotion itself that's difficult. It's questioning whether you should feel that way, what it means, or what you're supposed to do with it.
Feeling deeply isn't the whole story.
Therapy for understanding your emotions, navigating emotional overwhelm, and making room for yourself.
For the
Deep Feelers
When there's a lot going on inside...
Maybe you've found yourself:
-
Feeling overwhelmed by emotions you can't quite put into words.
-
Noticing other people's moods and wondering whether you've done something wrong.
-
Understanding someone else's perspective while struggling to make sense of your own feelings.
-
Questioning whether your reactions are too much.
-
Having difficulty expressing anger, disappointment, sadness, or other uncomfortable emotions.
-
Wanting to understand yourself beyond simply labeling what you feel.
Sometimes you might feel everything at once. Other times, you might know something is happening inside but have no idea what to call it.
And sometimes your feelings don't seem to make much sense alongside what you know logically.
That's something we can get curious about.
Making room for what you feel.
I'm not interested in helping you become someone who feels less simply because your emotions can be intense.
We can explore how you experience emotions, what they might be communicating, and the ways you've learned to respond to them.
That might mean slowing down to notice what happens in your body, exploring a reaction that surprised you, or getting to know the different feelings that show up around the same experience.
We might also look at how empathy influences your relationships, how you make space for your own needs, and what helps you stay connected to yourself when emotions run high.
Some days, the work might involve learning ways to navigate overwhelming feelings. Other days, it might be about allowing yourself to experience something without immediately needing to explain, change, or make it go away.
Your feelings don't have to make perfect sense before they're worth paying attention to.
And feeling deeply isn't automatically something that needs fixing.
